I recently visited the Berkshire Mountains for the gallery opening of my Care of Ward 81 project and artist lecture. My children rarely get to see what I do as a photographer. They also have never heard me speak about Care of Ward 81 and why I did the project. I am so happy they were able to attend. We created this video to commemorate the experience of the opening.

Surveillance

February 21, 2011

It’s an interesting time in the industry, as everyone knows photography and video are merging more and more… I am excited about this shift as my work has always been about “narrative”… so motion is the natural progression for me.

This “Survelliance” narrative is “society girl away from home and doesn’t want to spend her trust on fine Jewelry so she is going from room to room stealing it from her friends”

I appreciate all the fine jewelers and armed guards who trusted me with 10′s of millions of dollars in jewels:  Harry Winston, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari, Cartier, Tiffany & Co, De Grisogono, Damiani, Roberto Coin, Mikimoto, A. Link, Diamond Boules, Tamsen Z, Maltese, Aqua Cabocon, Pomellato and Kwiat,

Fashion by Fendi, Gucci, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Elie Saab, Alberta Ferretti, Kaufman Franco,  Nancy Gonzalez,

Finally, I am nothing without  my creative team, Thank you Melody Woodin of Women models, Stylist Newheart Ohanian, Makeup artist Wendy Karcher, hair stylist Linh, location courtesy of The Roosevelt Hotel NYC , “The teardrop Explodes” for their art house song “Camera Camera” and assistants Matt Coch, Max Miller, Katie Donnelly, and Tyler Shumway.
