This noire fashion accessory shoot incorporates many of the things I am asked to do as a photographer. It has food, fashion accessories, fine jewelry, props, sets, models and a conceptual edge that combines several genres of photography. This is one of my all time favorites. Thank you Lili Abir for your amazing taste and flawless set design and Ann Song for allowing me to push this shoot as far as we could take it while still managing to have it reach its demographic.

These images were shot for Prevention Magazine for a story about the effects of folic acid on adults. Folic acid is present in a lot of foods that many of us consume on a daily basis, but recent studies provided by the magazine show that over-consumption may lead to several types of cancer. Many thanks to Philip Shubin for his prop styling talents.

Oh the beautiful dysfunction of the family unit. These images I shot of my kids remind me of life’s most important moments…We seem to always run into the people that we never talk to and always “mean to catch up with” or see the family that we always have intentions of visiting more than you actually do. The beauty of the holidays, though, is that whatever holiday you celebrate, there are always traditions to follow, yet every year is vastly different… The kids grow up, parents grow old, and families get bigger… we grow, we change, we progress. The beauty of this season is that it ends with a new year… in the end it’s all about starting anew!
